Choosing the right Bed Rail for you

Bed rails come in a range of shapes and sizes depending on the client's needs. Carefully read the product description for each item to understand the specific needs it is designed to assist with.

Fitting

All our bedrails and posts are designed for quick and easy installation without the need for specialised beds or mounting points. The rail simply slides under the mattress, relying on the weight of the mattress to hold it in place. Some units have additional securing straps for that extra peace of mind.

Style

Several shapes and styles are available depending on the client's needs. Standard rails are designed to prevent the client from rolling out of bed, while at the same time providing a secure handrail to hold when getting in and out of bed.

  • Dropside and Pivot Adjust rails allow the rail to be repositioned out of the way when bed transfers are required.
  • Bed canes and sticks are generally smaller and provide a handgrip in one fixed position.
  • Rope ladders allow the client to pull themselves up after waking up.

Additional features

Bedrails also offer the potential for providing storage in the form of pockets. These are great for holding small items such as water bottles, TV remotes, and other items you may want in easy reach. Some rails also provide hand grips for more comfortable use.
