The Drive Aston Mobile Shower Commode caters for two essential functions – use as a commode, and to assist with transporting users from the toilet to shower and back. This helps reduce unnecessary handling transfers. For users who wish to move around themselves, an optional self-propelling rear wheel kit can be installed.

The frame of the chair is constructed from lightweight, rustproof aluminium, while the chair itself is made from Polyurethane. Visually impaired users can easily spot the chair thanks to its bright blue upholstery. The seat itself contains a front cut-away and rear recess that can be discreetly removed when required by the user.

The Aston Mobile Shower Commode is designed to be completely adjustable for the user’s maximum comfort. The following elements can be adjusted without tools:

Height – to suit the toilet height. Designed to clear both standard and accessible toilets.
Footplate – angle and height. Can also be removed for easy storage and transportation.
Armrests – flip up and down to allow for easy transfer.
Backrest – height can be adjusted as appropriate for the user. Can also be removed for easy storage and transportation.
Casters – lock in any direction to aid safety.
Self-propelling wheels – can be removed for easy storage and transportation.

Thanks to the choice of materials, the chair can be easily cleaned either at home or in hospital automated washing machines.
